He first appeared on stage at the age of 15 with his father in a Kurdish folk music group and has been playing the darbuka since a young age. Since then, he has carved his own path in the Berlin Oriental music scene. He honed his playing skills by playing the <em>Darbuka<\/em>, <em>Tef<\/em> and <em>Bendir.<\/em> Meanwhile, he accompanied many artists on percussion and participated in numerous concerts and artistic events. Serdar Saydan is currently conducting research in the field of electro-acoustic music to find interfaces that allow for new interpretations and performances of these three instruments.
