KERSTIN BROKATE

Kerstin Brokate studied from 1983-88 in Augsburg at the Leopold Mozart Conservatory, majoring in flute and minoring in piano, and graduated with a music teacher's diploma and concert diploma.

Private studies with Ulrich Meyer and master classes with Aurèle Nicolet, Trevor Wye, Peter Thalheimer, Michael Faust, Peter-Lukas Graf, Robert Aitken and Carin Levine followed.

She has successfully completed further trainings in rhythmics and music physiology.

In her concert activities, she works as a chamber musician mainly with piano and guitar and performs regularly in concerts in Germany and abroad.

From 1984 to 1994 she taught at a youth music school in Southern Germany. She lives in Berlin as a freelance flutist since 1994, where she teaches the flute, recorder and piano with great enthusiasm.
