YU LI

“Where words end, music begins—and opens a space for our shared humanity.”

For Yu Li, this space is one of encounter and resonance, which she has shaped for many years with refined sensitivity and extensive international experience.

Grounded in a rigorous academic background in Public Administration, International Relations, and Communication Studies—further enriched by political practice in the German Bundestag—she develops strategic, culturally and politically informed concepts that bridge artistic vision with social responsibility.

For more than two decades, Yu Li has initiated and realized international music projects of exceptional scope and radiance. She collaborates worldwide with leading orchestras, ensembles, opera houses, and festivals, including the Berlin Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and the China National Performing Arts Orchestra. She accompanies artists in classical music, world music, and jazz with great sensitivity, supporting them in building their careers and unfolding their artistic identities.

With AsianArt Management, founded by her in 2006, she creates cultural bridges and develops programs that unite art, society, and transcultural dialogue in a shared space of resonance. Ensembles under her direction have been honored with the ECHO Klassik and the German Record Critics’ Award.

In collaboration with the Deutsch-Türkische Musikakademie, she designs projects that harmoniously integrate artistic excellence, cultural identity, and societal impact.

Alongside her curatorial work, Yu Li is active as a poet. Her poetry has been featured on Deutschlandradio, among other outlets. She is passionately committed to cultural exchange between Europe and Asia and has served for many years as a volunteer jury member in decentralized cultural work in Schönberg.
