The Deutsch-Türkische Musikakademie has hosted performances in renowned Berlin concert halls, featuring outstanding figures in both classical Turkish and European music. In integrative music projects, renowned composers have combined Turkish and European musical traditions to create a distinctive musical style. The DTM choirs, ensembles, and dance group present their developed repertoire several times a year in major Berlin concert halls. Numerous DTM students have won prizes in performances at the “Jugend musiziert” competition. The DTM dance group won second prize at the Carnival of Cultures in Berlin. Seminars and guest lectures by prominent representatives of Turkish and European music explore the music theory and cultural backgrounds of both musical cultures.
