SERDAR SAYDAN
Serdar Saydan was born in West Berlin in 1981. He first appeared on stage at the age of 15 with his father in a Kurdish folk music group and has been playing the darbuka since a young age. Since then, he has carved his own path in the Berlin Oriental music scene. He honed his playing skills by playing the Darbuka, Tef and Bendir. Meanwhile, he accompanied many artists on percussion and participated in numerous concerts and artistic events. Serdar Saydan is currently conducting research in the field of electro-acoustic music to find interfaces that allow for new interpretations and performances of these three instruments. In 2018, he received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Alice Salomon University in Berlin.
